WELCOME TO ROSSCA
Restoration of Sacred Spaces, Culture and Art
ROSSCA was established as a non-profit in 2015 with the mission to restore and preserve monuments of art and culture in Bulgaria, and to promote awareness and appreciation of Bulgarian art and culture in the United States.
By 2024, we expanded our focus to include Bulgaria's natural landscapes, recognizing nature as a divine creation that requires our care and continuous renewal.
While ROSSCA is deeply rooted in the Christian faith of its founder and targets Christian sacred spaces, ROOSSCA offers unifying programs and services that value and respect the spirituality and faith of all people. Designed to stimulate energy and conversation around the ancient assets of Bulgaria’s culture, ROSSCA brings hope and structure to communities so that their sacred spaces and art are renewed as a rich and vital part of their social fabric.
What We Do
Restoration Projects
By collaborating with local craftsmen, village representatives, and parish council members, ROSSCA organizes fundraisers to restore some of Bulgaria’s most neglected sacred spaces. Donations received are directly used to rebuild crumbling historical monuments and the traditions that are lost with them.
Supporting Art & Culture
ROSSCA recognizes the importance of art and tradition in a society. By purchasing art and curating exhibits for local painters, weavers, and craftsmen, ROSSCA hopes to advertise and encourage Bulgarian artists as well as promote art as an outlet for impoverished communities.
Art Tours
As a way of sharing Bulgaria’s magnificent nature and culture, ROSSCA will begin conducting art tours the summer of 2019. These painting workshops allow artists to gain inspiration by visiting several historic and natural stunning locations through an all accommodating tour of Northwest Bulgaria.
