A major setback was the passing of Dimka Dzhonova, the main driver of the restoration activities locally in Bulgaria. May her memory be eternal!

In 2017, a major phase of the restoration of Saint Nicholas Church was accomplished - the replacement of the roof. This was truly an example of effective public-private partnership that benefits the local community.

In 2017, ROSSCA office relocated from Charlotte, NC to Washington, DC.
